Join The Parlour, in partnership with Community of Play, for a fun and fast paced 7-week American Mahjong class designed just for 4th–6th graders! Students will learn everything they need to confidently play the game, including tile recognition, reading the NMJL card, Charleston strategy, gameplay basics, pivots, defensive play, and smart Mahjong strategy.

Using official American Mahjong tiles and NMJL cards, students will build pattern recognition, strategic thinking, memory, and social confidence — all while having a blast around the table! Each week combines guided instruction with hands on play so kids quickly become comfortable with the rhythm and excitement of the game.

By the end of the session, they won’t just know how to play… they may even be playing better than their grandparents!
